Entrepreneurship and dealing with competition Essay Example Essay Example

Enterprise and managing rivalry Essay Example Paper Enterprise and managing rivalry Essay Introduction Enterprise and managing rivalry School: Enterprise and managing rivalry Essay Body Paragraphs Coach: Entrepreneurial assets For a business to succeed it needs to have various assorted assets that are indispensable to the accomplishment of any business and they incorporate interpersonal organization assets, money related assets, human asset and government asset. One such organization that I have had the chance to work with is Advertising Specialties Inc that is an organization offering promoting administrations for top brands. Being a top promoting organization, ASI has the vital enterprising assets deliberately using them to further its potential benefit. This has brought about the organization increasing a serious edge in the market. The organization has a rich money related pool financing its exercises thus empowering it to arrive at a wide market base. It has prevailing with regards to making a confiding in connection with its bank subsequently effectively picking up advances, as they don't relinquish installment. The company’s customers comprises of regarded brands and because of their capacity to play out, the customers trust them enough to pay stores before the showcasing undertakings. The company’s deals are likewise high guaranteeing that the income picked up is equipped for providing food for the expenses and leave a wide net revenue that can be reinvested. According to human asset, the organization is devoted to having the best players in each field just recruiting imaginative experts that are committed and capable advertisers, individuals who are versatile to changing business sector patterns. At ASI, each representative is esteemed and this inspires the laborers to put forth a valiant effort. The organization stresses on the significance of collaboration and research to stay pertinent and serious by improving the employees’ information and aptitudes through steady preparing. ASI has a solid system base consequently empowering it to catch new customers and markets expanding its business yearly. This business organize is t he thing that empowers it to pick up contracts from top brands since they are related with progress. With their associations, they can work together with preparing firms, a key move that benefits their organization by training to representatives on legitimate strategic approaches and shed light on developing customer patterns. ASI has concurred itself worldwide acknowledgment and a flawless notoriety supporting in it organize creation. ASI likewise benefits on government asset through formation of business systems with the applicable specialists subsequently going about as a business interface between the customers it speaks to and the administration. Along these lines this customers can get gracefully agreements to the administration subsequently it goes about as a system maker. 2. Abstinence and co-opetition Increasing rivalry in the market may at times power the existent organization to respond to the activity of a contender. In any case, the current organization may decided not to respond, a situation alluded to as self control. Then again, firms may choose respond, yet in a way not meddling with the different company’s activity, this being co-opetition. The promoting business being a serious field ensures consistent rivalry from an assortment of up and coming and individual contenders subsequently Advertising Specialties Inc has confronted circumstances of co-opetition on different events. Be that as it may, demonstrations of abstinence may not be favored in promoting as the point of the showcasing organization is to effect and impact a wide market base. In this manner, the organization consistently needs to remain in front of rivalry particularly when advertising for contending brands. Showcasing requires key hostility that patience doesn't offer. Advertisers create better approaches for charming customers subsequently ASI consistently must be prepared for an occasion where the contender thinks of an alternate methodology of picking up clients. A demonstration of abstinence in showcasing may happen where our organization and another are promoting various brands of a similar item. Such an event happened where our organization was showcasing for coca cola and a contender promoting the Diet Rite. Here, our organization chose to rehearse self control by not forcefully seeking after the market that the Diet Rite was advertising in and rather centered around the market that was not accepting consideration from the Diet Rite bunch by presentation of advancements and utilization of multi media promoting methods. The organization chose to arrange the limited time exercises in light of a specific objective market to decrease the expense and restricted the shopper focus to make a more prominent effect in the market that we felt was the most elevated rate customers. 3. New methodologies Blue sea procedures are techniques that have been utilized previously and I have known about them particularly since our organization utilized them in t he extension of the organization extent of business. This may incorporate adjustment of a previously existing item or method of administration or by presentation of an altogether extraordinary item or administration. As far as I can tell, entering an altogether new market represented a superior open door for the development of Advertising Specialties Inc as it had the option to take advantage of new markets that were not packed. The organization coordinated the general ease technique and separation strategy to accomplish a huge improvement in its deals. With the development of utilization of IT in the business field the organization made sure about money related assets and directed looks into on the most ideal way the could join innovative in their exercises to think of the best showcasing ways over the web. Since this occurred in the period where organizations were as yet incredulous about the web, the organization had the option to stretch out beyond its rivals in the market. The organization confided in this methodology and with it being an organization speaking to huge brands it had the option to join minimal effort because of the size of the market base and separation by utilization of an alternate methodology from different organizations at that point. It was likewise among the first to fire setting up LED screen in the avenues for ad purposes consequently the organization brags of intense and vital use of separation in its promoting abilities. 4. Hardball’ Strategies Hardball techniques are profoundly appropriate particularly in the promoting field. Publicizing Specialties Inc attempts to be watchful about its tasks so as not to let the opposition exploit. For this to be fruitful they underline the significance of prudence of organization privileged insights placing terms in the work contracts restricting the laborers top not let out any inside issues of the organization or offer the organization procedures with non-partners. ASI likewise frequen tly winds up in a position where it needs to recognize the competitors’ solid focuses and frail focuses exploiting where conceivable. Subsequently, the organization attempts to comprehend where a specific opponent infers the vast majority of their benefits and attempts to utilize a procedure focusing on that particular region while offering better proposals to impact the piece of the pie that the adversary controls. The organization needs to take part in look into and forceful promoting to comprehend the competitor’s procedure and detail counter-methodologies that work all the more successfully. This prevails at turning away the market’s premiums in the competitors’ offers persuading clients to pick their item over the different company’s comparative item. This works at decimating the rival’s benefit asylums. As is regularly the training in business circles, the end legitimizes the methods and winning clients is the objective. As they are mo re often than not unavoidable in business, hardball systems ought to be applied with alert as they can have broad lawful impacts, just like the case with Netflix and Blockbuster. 5. Business fire up I have completed a business fire up previously. I began a smaller than usual library film business whereby I conveyed some attainability studies to build up the capacity of set up and development and the presence of a flexibly hole. Here, I would identify with the technique definition area particularly as clarified in page 302. I needed to do a danger investigation on my business thought. I considered comparative organizations that were at that point in presence and potential future rivalry. I was likewise on the less than desirable finish of hardball methodologies where a contender set up for business close to my store whereby he offered a free DVD for each two purchased, while I was offering a free DVD for each four thus occupying my client order to his store henceforth I needed to re- plan to recapture my clients. I to a great extent concur with the data in the content. The facts demonstrate that open door acknowledgment, page 281, is just the start of the business procedure. It is likewise obvious that a reasonable business enterprise needs to contain the four center characteristics of being alluring thus my objective was the adolescent, attainable where I contrasted my assets and the market and gracefully desires. The other two are solidness and tendency towards esteem creation where my clients would be able to watch the most recent motion pictures at a lower cost than accessible previously. I additionally concur that for business achievement different assets are fundamental being the monetary, human, social assets and government support. I anyway can't help contradicting the hardball methodologies referenced on page on page 303. My interpretation of the issue is that business ought to be completed with the most extreme degrees of honesty and due determination. My standpoint is that, toward the day's end, the business is liable to the network inside which it exists. Completing deceptive exercises with a dream for benefit may place a business in acrid terms with the network, which may have inconvenient impacts to the business. Questions with respect to the section My squeezing question concerning part 8 is comparable to the hardball procedures. Does this methodology not conflict with the principles of business morals? This kind of way to deal with business tasks could bring about unfavorable impacts

In the case of the summary section â€" less is always more.Write your summary last â€" If you are struggling with the summary section, then just write it last when you already finish the other sections, that way you are making sure that it matches the rest of your resume. To put things into perspective, your resume should look something like this:SummaryI am a college graduate and a certified office administrator with over 4 years of experience in office management and personnel administration. I have worked for companies such as the American Red Cross and Ricoh. I have clean work ethics, leadership skills and I know how to motivate others to be more productive. RightSummaryGraduated from college and looking for a job. I have four years of work experience, and I think I have what it takes to be a part of your company. WrongNever try to beg for a job and especially don’t do it in the summary section because if you are begging for a job, then that means that you might lack some skills and requirements that are important for that job position. Its better, to be honest about yourself and write nothing but the truth than to lie and get the job but then risk getting caught in your lies and being fired immediately.HOW TO SHOWCASE YOUR WORK EXPERIENCEIf you are applying to be an office manager, certainly one of the most important sections of your resu me is the experience section because here you must list all the companies you’ve worked for in the past and your contributions to those companies. When your employer sees that youre not just bragging about your skills and sees that youve benefited companies before, he is more likely to hire you because everyone wants to have a good employee who will make a difference in a company. Also, because an office manager is a rather high position, you are expected to list your most important accomplishments and not just write a job description. You should implement some numbers as well â€" how many projects you’ve been a part of how many staff members you’ve been working with, and how many partnerships have you established and so on.Employers pay attention to these things, and this is what will differentiate your resume from the rest. Right WrongAs you can see, there are right ways to write the experience section, and there are horrible ones as well.TIPS TO WRITE EXPERIENCE SECTION AS AN OFFICE MANAGERNow, the education section isnt your top priority, that isnt to say that its not important, just that there arent any requirements, other than a bachelors degree, which are mandatory to become an office manager. For example, you can be an office manager for a medical company and not have a degree in medicine, but rather a degree in business.Of course, it would be perfect if you had a degree both in medicine and in business, but not everyone has that so there is no pressure if you dont have it either. What’s important is that you have a bachelor’s degree and that you have 3 â€" 4 years of experience, but as you can imagine, everything over that is just a plus, so things listed below will surely help you:A high GPA scoreInvolvement in various projectsWritten papersInvolvement in student organizations Right WrongBusiness schools, in particular, are also in high demand in the office administration workforce mainly because nearly all employers think that its better than their office manager knows how to conduct business on a professional level and understands how the company functions.OFFICE MANAGER SKILLS THAT SHOULD BE ON YOUR RESUME (IF YOU WANT TO LAND THAT JOB INTERVIEW)The skills sections is a very important part of your resume as an office manager mainly because in this section you are highlighting your skillset â€" the skills you own which can influence and improve the progress of a company. You should avoid listing unimportant points and things which you are already expected to know because it will seem like you are pointing out the obvious just so your skills sections appear richer. That being said, you should write your skills sections somewhere in the line of: Right WrongWe aren’t exaggerating. You won’t believe what people write in their skills sections, so if you follow our instructions, you will do just fine.USEFUL TIPS TRICKS THAT GET OFFICE MANAGERS HIRED ALL THE TIMELength â€" The length of your resume should always be two pages max, and even that is sometimes too much. One page is all you need to write a perfect and professional resume without any unimportant information.Font â€" Always use the same font throughout your whole resume and be sure to use standard fonts and not the ones which appear to be handwritten because most resumes are run through a machine and there is a high chance that your resume wont be scanned.Format â€" You should make sure to have your resume in different document formats such as PDF or TXT because you never know which format you will be asked to provide. Also, you should have several physical copies of your resume and be sure to bring one on your job interview just in case.Bullets â€" Because employers a nd hiring agents dont really spend a lot of time, if any, reading resumes, you need to make sure that you write your resume as neatly as possible and bullets are your best friends in this situation because its much easier to skim read using bullets than picking out keywords from a block of text.Highlights â€" With bullets, be sure to highlight the most important things from your resume and always use numbers in numeric rather than writing them because they are easier to spot that way.Bold and Italics â€" Avoid bolding or using italics too much to highlight information because it seems unprofessional and doesnt look very nice at first glance. Use bolding and italics only when its necessary.Chronology â€" You can write your education and experience section in chronological order, meaning from back to front or you can even do a reverse chronological order. The reverse order is great for the education section as your most important and newest academic achievements will be on the top and surely be spotted first.Proofreading â€" You should always proofread your resume before sending it to your employer because even if you are a professor of literature you are bound to make few grammatical errors which won’t do you any good.Reviewing â€" Also, be sure to get your resume reviewed by a professional because he can tell you what you can change about your resume to make it look more professional and also maybe spot any mistakes you’ve made so that you can correct them.Adapting â€" No two resumes should be the same meaning you should always write a new resume for every job you’re applying because most of the times the things you write on your resume just apply to that one specific job so you should at least try to adapt your resume if you don’t want to write it all over again.Articulating â€" You should know how to properly articulate your words when writing your resume because without knowing some basic terminology, it will seem as you aren’t experienced in the job position you say you are.Formality â€" Always write your resume in a formal tone and never address your employer directly and if you have to do it for some reason, don’t address them by their first name â€" Mr. X will do.E-Mail and telephone â€" Always check your E-Mails daily and always have your phone with you because you never know if you will get a call or an E-Mail saying that you have a job interview on Tuesday. This way, you will be on standby and always ready.Resume builder â€" If you still have some questions about how to write your resume then head on to our resume builder where you can choose various templates according to your needs, and you can easily delete or add sections which is going to make writing your resume that much easier.CONCLUSIONThat’s about it for this resume guide, and we hope that you’ve found this information useful. We gave you two examples of how your resume should look like and what are its most important sections. Then we went through each section and did a step by step overview of what is right and what is wrong as well as giving you some tips along the way.And finally, we gave you some other useful tips which you should follow so that your resume not only appears more professional but is actually a well-written one and not just filled with unimportant information. All in all, if you still are a bit confused about how to write your resume then check out our resume builder, it will surely help in answering any remained questions.Good luck with your job interview! EPS grew by 12% to US$4. 8 and a total of US$19. 2b was paid out to shareholders through dividends or share repurchases. Between the 2009 and 2010 financial years, Wal-Mart has maintained a ROI of 19. 3% falling slightly to 19. 2% in 2011 due mainly to economic challenges within the US market. For comparison, Wal-Mart’s closest global competitor, Carrefour Group, generated a USD equivalent of app roximately $158b in sales for the 2010 financial year (latest full year results available). At the close of the second quarter of their 2011 financial year (August 31, 2011), Carrefour experienced a 2. % increase in sales at the USD equivalent of $58. 3b. However, underperformance in France, Greece, and Italy, due to struggling economies, resulted in a 22% reduction in operating income at a USD equivalent of $1. 1b. These results cements Wal-Mart’s position as the world’s largest and best positioned retailer with respect to sales revenue. On the flip side, Wal-Mart appears to be dependent on its dominance in the US market which showed a flat performance by generating US$260b in sales for the 2011 financial year, compared to US$259b in 2010. Despite expanding during the year to create more retail space, there was reduced customer traffic due to rising unemployment and a 2. 3% reduction in the income of the middle class according to the US Census Bureau. A 1% increase in the poverty rate to 15. 3% also had a negative impact on Wal-Mart’s performance and highlights the challenges within the US economy. In the international segment, the FIFO approach at inventory management and accounting may not entirely support its established strategy of everyday low prices as it does not allow for cost savings to be quickly passed on to its customers. It may also distort the true picture of the company’s financial performance. Putting it all together, the assessment of Wal-Mart’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats identifies the need for a strategic approach towards achieving its objective of 4-6% growth in sales revenue for the 2012 financial year and beyond. Given its dominance in the US market, the company should strategically move to hold/defend its market position by continuing to leverage IT for EDLCs and EDLPs. Aggressive sales promotions, especially through eCommerce, should be used to improve on the flat sales performance for 2011. Wal-Mart should, however, look to the emerging economies for further growth and expansion as they show a faster rate of economic recovery and a growing middle class. China, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia are ranked in the top five on the market potential index for emerging markets with respect to market growth rates. China, India, Russia, Brazil, and Indonesia are ranked in the top five based on market size. Pending further PESTEL Analysis, these emerging markets could potentially hold the key for Wal-Mart’s future expansion. How to cite Swot Analysis – Wal-Mart, Papers

To Kill A Mockingbird Essays (552 words) - To Kill A Mockingbird

To Kill A Mockingbird By Harper Lee To Kill a Mockingbird left a lasting impression on me. At the time it was written, it must have been looked down upon as a piece of literature since there was so much hatred towards negroes in the 1950's that no one could probably realize the unjustified prejudice against them. It especially deals with how the main character, Atticus Finch, deals with the controversy surrounding his actions and how he tries to shelter his family from it. The book's climax, where it is brought to a final solution, takes place at the trial. A woman named Mayella Ewell, accuses a black man named of Tom Robinson of rape. In truth, these claims are false, but she knows she can get away with it, since the people in those days had the utmost respect for white women, and black men were looked down upon as still being slaves, even if they weren't in shackles. The main character, Atticus Finch, defends Tom in the whole case. He comes under fire and is commonly known in the neighborhood as a "Nigger lover" for defending Tom, and his children's friends make fun of them at school since their father is defending Tom. Atticus tries his best to be a fair lawyer like he always was, and knows that Tom didn't commit the rape. The trial comes around, and Mayella Ewell is very confident she will win the case because if her standing in society as a respectable woman who would never lie over her honor. When it comes time for Atticus to question Mayella, he proves that indeed Tom couldn't have committed the rape. Mayella is silent, and then the jury leaves to come up with a verdict. Although they know Tom was innocent, the case now becomes a trial of honor; of whom to say is wrong. When they come back, they find Tom guilty. He is sentenced to be hung, and it is carried out. Thus ends the climax, but not the moral. Afterward, Mayella's father, Bob Ewell guarantees revenge against Atticus for having proved her daughter a liar. As Atticus' children are walking home from the Halloween pageant, they realize they are being followed and soon they are attacked. The next thing they know is that they are being carried home, and Jem has a broken arm and Scout a couple of bruises. In Jem's sick room, Scout notices the presence of the man who carried Jem home and discovers that the man is Boo Radley, a mysterious next-door neighbor who they never really talked to but know he is a very friendly person by the way he leaves candy for them on the way to school in a hollow tree outside his house. She later realizes that he had saved their lives. She accepts him as a friend and tells Atticus that he is "Real nice." Atticus agrees and reminds her that most people are when you get to know them. I enjoyed reading this book, and if nothing else it opened my eyes to the common prejudices that still exist in today's society. The book derives its name from when Scout, who serves as the narrator, and her older brother Jem when they both receive air rifles for Christmas. They are given specific instructions never to kill a mockingbird because it sings beautiful songs and does no damage to anyone. I realized that this can be contrasted from the plot of the book, when Atticus defends Tom.

The association of health providers work over critical matters on education, health and social care to deliver the necessary quality services to improve peoples’ quality of lives and for healthier communities. Among the many concerns they dealt are issues on nutrition, public health, policies, medical standards, medication of all illnesses or on the need to strategize development to better social services in complementation of health responses to communities. Consideration of the nature of communication within health & social care teams.   Communication is fundamental interaction and in nurturing understanding between the management, health providers, and with the patients. Peopl e who are seeking medical attention came from varied experiences, places, and bear different kinds of illnesses and thus, it is important that all of these are communicated so that the contexts, causes and surrounding circumstances of a case can be understood. From this study it is clear that appropriate medical remedies can only be provided when health cases are clear from all vantages. Communication also strengthens positive relation with co-workers and with management, especially in managing changes and health reform program . In fact, people will only come to understand hospital’s goals and programs by imparting and receiving communication. Moreover, work relations can only be understood through communication. Women and society Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 1

Women and society - Assignment Example In Perspectives of Native American Women on Race and Gender, I believe that there is a huge need to educate the public on the history of the Black women (Kirk & Okazawa-Rey 101-113). It is evident that the Black women were not favored by their culture and past; thus, placing them at a lower rank than the White women. I am also of the opinion that with exposure and enlightenment the Native American will present double development. It is also evident gender bias has simply been derived from societal perceptions that do not have any valid reasons. In A Question of Class, I concur with the author that lots of people of a similar class often share their sentiments (Kirk & Okazawa-Rey 123-130). The poor are ashamed of their life and will stick to similar persons such as Dorothy did in her childhood (Kirk & Okazawa-Rey 123-4). I also agree that most people make endless attempts to shift from their lifestyles to others. This explains why the poor are ashamed of their lives and will even attempt to escape their real lifestyles. Some even assume their current statuses to avoid having a real glimpse of their real

The Thrill That Kills Essay -- Essays Papers

The Thrill That Kills Street racing has become a very dangerous sport in the 20th century. In the article The Thrill That Kills by Paul-Mark Rendon, he describes the dangers and consequences of illegal street racing. This article was published Sept. 17, 2001 in MacLean’s. This is an article that tries to reach out to street racers and also anyone interested in knowing more about street racing and its dangers. The article discusses how for the driver, racing is an exciting adrenaline rush, but for the people, is an endangerment to their safety. The author uses facts like how dozens of innocent people have died due to street racing. Even drivers themselves die because of losing control or hitting another car. This article makes readers think twice about wanting to go out on the streets and race. This article gives evidence that street racing is very dangerous. The author gives clear evidence to support his topic that illegal street racing is dangerous. Racing on a public road can have many variables that can lead to the worst. Some of these variables are that â€Å"where unexpected traffic, uneven roads and inexperienced drivers, some as young as 16, form a deadly combination.† The author tells how an innocent person walking across the street, was hit by one of three cars racing that were traveling approximately 200 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. The body was thrown 80 meters and died before he hit the ground. â€Å"In Vancouver alone, police count six fatalities from street racing in the past year.† Mark uses this information to get his point through to the readers because people are most affected when they hear about other people dying. Paul- Mark explains how driving experience on the streets is very low. Hardly any of the... ...there. Paul-Mark tells how the Darknights are a good cause, but â€Å"there’s always going to be a situation where there’s heated argument and no one wants to waste their time and say, ‘We’ll settle this at the racetrack.’ We’ll pick a road, we’ll do it for this much and then we’ll go home.† This makes the reader realize how even though street racers are aware of the tremendous dangers of street racing and have a legal way to do it, they still would rather put people’s lives at risk and race on the streets. Although this article appeals to common sense the most, Paul-Mark’s claims are obvious with very good example to back those claims up. Readers get the full picture of what is really going down in the street racing scene and how the dangers continue to exist. Paul-Mark has strong appeals and emotions throughout this paper that keeps readers hooked the entire time.

Importance of distinctive qualities of texts

Texts are written in a way for it to appeal to the responders. The Author uses many different techniques, themes and chooses a writing style so that it can appeal to the audience. This is evident In the novel We All Fall Down' In which the author, Robert Cornier, tries to appeal to the audience. This can be achieved also by making the text relatable for responders and certain concepts wealth the book. Crosier's use of themes In the book Is one of the things which appeals to readers. He focuses on relationships and especially family relationships. It is obvious that Cornier believes hat family and family values are very important and this theme is frequent throughout the novel. The theme of family defines the book as Cornier shows that holds together can withstand anything such as with the Jerome family, however with the Walker family, the members have fallen apart and have deteriorated. This is meant to appeal to responders as they can relate to the sense of family within the book, wh ether theirs has fallen apart or clung together as there are examples of both within the novel. The theme of relationships also can help the novel appeal to spenders as they can associate it with the relationships they share with others. The novel explores many examples of both barnacles and relationships between people and this appeals to responders and they can associate the novel with their own lives. The opening of a book Is an Important part of making a text appeal to responders. The first scene hooks the reader with suspense as we read of the trashing and makes them aware of the violence of the text. Violent verbs are used to reinforce this theme and begin the idea of trashing and violence. This theme reoccurs throughout the evolve. The theme is brought up again when the details of the trashing come up again and again and the trashing becomes a large part of the text and the actions of the characters as it is not only the house that has been trashed but the characters themselves . The way the text hooks the readers from the start is one of the ways it appeals to the readers and what keeps them reading on. The appearance of certain characters can help texts appear to more people. Without the addition of ‘The Avenger' or Mackey ‘Loony' as he Is later known, the novel would be more of a mantic novel than the thriller It became. The Avenger adds a sense of mystery and thrills to the book as we learn of his murderous way. This transition caused the book to not only appeal to those seeking a book with romance, but one with action too. Without the addition of several minor characters the story would be completely different and wouldn't appeal to as many responders or to such a variety of responders as it does. The use of language can change how a text appeals to readers or responders. Cornier does an excellent Job of using the right kind of language wrought the text We All Fall Down. The use of colloquial language as well as having the occasional use of vulgar language helps his novels appeal to responders, especially youths as they can relate the language used throughout the text. The text doesn't specify separate chapters, keeping text flowing between characters as It changes the first person. Narration and the use of the right language helps the book to be better understood by responders and the different points of view provide enough variety to keep the book interesting which in turn helps the text to be moreWe All Fall Down' Imagery is used to assist the reader in being able to picture everything in the book, proving to be a delightful experience for the responder. Rhetorical questions such as ‘but I didn't help the girl did l? Are used to make the reader think about situations and similes help further describe concepts and feelings in the text for example, when the way Buddy feels is ‘like a giant mallet hitting a gong inside him' and repetition provides emphasis, e. G. ‘l don't want you in the house, don't want you in my life'.And so in conclusion, qualities such as themes of family and relationships, addition of characters, techniques and language as well as a relatable text helps the text to appeal to responders. Cornier acknowledges this fact and integrates these into his works and so his works appeal to responders of many types. This is what makes the text We All Fall Down' appealing to responders as they feel a connection with the text and understand it and the motives behind the actions of the characters. These distinctive qualities of this text are what make it so appealing to responders.
